I reserved a table for 10 in a private room to celebrate my birthday with a few close friends & family this past Sat. night (1/31/09). The table is located is located in a small intimate room with soft lighting toward the back of the restaurant. The room is ideal for a small celebration, etc. I love it because you can actually have a conversation without having to shout over other people’s voices.
The service was EXCELLENT. Our server’s name was Britton (not sure of the spelling). She was attentive, friendly, and went out of her way to accommodate us in any way she could. (Ex. taking pictures, etc.)
Now to the food part. I ordered the small portion salmon with coconut rice. I cannot begin to express how delicious it was. My husband ordered the lamb shank. The meat was falling off the bone. Everyone in my party said their meal was fantastic. I hope Jacksonville continues to support this restaurant. To me, it’s like a hidden treasure in our area. If you live across the river, make the trip over- you will not be disappointed.

fyi, this past Thursday the Perfect Rack Billiards received permission to extend its operating hours until 2:00 a.m. and eliminated the requirement that security be provided by JSO. For more information see the order rendered on application E-08-60 by the COJ Planning Commission.

My family used to live in Murray Hill in the ’60’s.

My 10 year old brother was found deceased in the 3700 block of Mayflower St. on February 4th, 1968.

Despite the many suspicious things about Glen’s death; his death was determined and ruled to be “accidental”.

40 years later Glen’s family is still seeking and fighting for justice for Glen.

A family friend has made a youtube video and we would like people in Jax to please view the video and the pass it along to others. Since my family no longer lives in Jax; we are asking the people of Jax to help us get the video circulating around Jax; particulary in the Murray Hill district.

We are hoping that there are people in Jax who remember the news story about the little boy who was found “hanging” on Mayflower St. in Jax in 1968.
And we are hoping that there is someone in Jax who might have heard or seen something on the night Glen was missing (Feb. 3rd) or the following morning when his body was found (Feb. 4th); 1968.

We still cling to the hope that there is someone who can provide new information about Glen’s death.

I bought my home in Murray Hill about a year and a half ago, and I am pleased to see the progress this neighborhood is making. I’m a pool hall junkie and have been to most in Jax and OP. It’s nice to see one that has quality tables, service and NO SMOKING. It’s great to be able to go out and shoot a few games and not worry about going home smelling like an ashtray. The bartenders are great and Gary’s very cool. Looking forward to playing on the M8 team.
